09/30/07: Major enhancements for the cleric classes have been implemented, with lower costs for many skills and lower Karma costs for many prayers. Also, improvements to Bless for Priests and Valor for Healers, and significantly improved Wound and Bleed for Healers, and Daze, Stun, Doze and Trance for Witches.

09/23/07: The update to the events structure has been completed. Monster Summoning events, Party Brawls, and the various special events have now all been signficantly improved. RPP can now be used to turn personalized items into artifacts, and an LOR Bless now carries with it the function of not losing any perm potions when dieing.

09/01/07: Major gap in blog here. Was sick for a while but many improvements over that time. Will fill this in if I can remember exactly what was implemented. In any case, should keep this blog up to date now as time goes along.

08/24/06: The 'hardware/connection' update has been completed, with a new physical server installed that is 10 times as fast and has 5 times as much memory as the old server. Also, improvements in the connection speed and related updates also designed to improve our overall service. This update means improvements now but also puts us in a position for the long term world expansion that we are looking at.

08/01/06: The Council of the Realm meeting room has been updated to facilitate online meetings between the PTB and the LOR. Also, the Hall of Justice has been updated as a place where those having complaints about the actions of others, can voice their complaints. Adjustments to the events lineup are also being made but this is an ongoing task with more updates planned.

07/01/06: The assassin dungeons in Valadia and in the Undead Caverns have been added, thus giving higher level assassin characters a place to hunt for higher level gear.

05/30/06: OGNALL 13.0 is now available, with updates to the initial screens that new players see re 'free forever', improvements to the Online Help, and updates to the Player's Manual, including mouse wheel support. This new version is available now on this site and has been released to the various WWW sites carrying a version of OGNALL on their own system. Other sites have been EMailed re their MRA listing,  OGNALL 13.0, and 'free forever'.

05/05/06: Free Forever! We have decided to offer a 'free forever' plan instead of the 'three months free' that we had been offering to new players. This applies to totally new players, those currently playing on plan free, and those that have used up their free time in the past.

04/15/06: The Undead Caverns Underground, Knight, Warrior and Mummy areas, has been added. This is again a new 'top level' dungeon in the land. The remaining figther and rogue areas will be added once enhancements to these classes have been completed.

04/01/06: The Undead Caverns 'Maze' has been added. The newest 'top level' dungeon in the land.

03/15/06: New function has been added for a new event, the 'Guild vs Monster' Tournament. Also, improvements to 'Party Brawls' and higher level generic monsters for monster summoning tournaments make these events much more viable.

03/01/06: The mage and cleric class dungeons in the Undead Caverns have been added. This increases the highest level dungeons in the land by a couple of levels.

02/01/06: The 'Undead Caverns Graveyard' has been added to the game. This is a new high level dungeon.

01/12/06: What with the new OGNALL required, it became necessary to update the version of OGNALL on download.com, and with this MRA was added to the top of their listings and, a surge of new players starting at this time. From experience, many of these new players are 'just taking a look' but others find MRA very much to their liking and there are thus more new players on the game now.

01/05/06: The functions of the DOT and X buttons have been enhanced, allowing up to the last of 10 commands entered to be recalled, and separate logs of channel/tell messages and magic/talk messages so that these messages are not lost in normal play. Also, updates to the healer class and the READY command (for fighter classes) make these classes much more viable.

12/20/05: The 'new gear' update has been completed with a number of new items added, including tunics, bracelets and ankle bracers. This new gear, and the code changes to go with it, gives players much better ability to add elemental and essence protection against the new critters in the game like Shadows and Ghosts.

12/01/05: The OMR trainers and guild lairs, are now available in the game. This gives essentially all players a lot of new item and stat runes for their use. A pretty easy challenge for players above the level of the OMR critters, but would be a significant challenge for players going through these levels.

11/20/05: Two critter class areas, undead knights and warriors, have been added to the Undead Caverns Village. With these and the previous areas in UC, we essentially have more than enough high level dungeons at the present time. There are still various class areas to go in in UC as well as further expansion, which will be done as needed.

11/10:05: The 'Graveyard' has been added as an additional area in the Undead Caverns. An even higher level dungeon for the top players in the game. 

10/30/05: The 'Undead Caverns - Village', has been installed. This is the new 'highest level dungeon' in the game and thus gives the top players in the land a new place to hunt. This one required various new features and thus took longer to develop than it would otherwise.

9/28/05: 'Iun Stones', are now appearing in the land. These magical stones have special functions, allowing magical and supernatural gear to be altered, increased, removed or created. Also, Iun Stones of other colors have the ability to create permanent potions and increase skill ring levels. These stones are very rare but of significant value if found.

9/21/05: The latest new dungeon, 'The Mound', has become available to adventurers. This dungeon covers a large range of levels and spans the gap between the undead dungeons that existed and new, higher level ones that are planned. Also, 'Shadows' appear in this dungeon with their special attacks and the special defenses needed to defend against them.

9/03/05: The design upgrade for the 'gift giving' functions (normal LOR prizes, LOR RPP prizes, NPQ gifts, donate counters) has now been completed and implemented. This represents a significant upgrade from what we had before, with better schedules and better gifts possible across the board. Also, with this and related upgrades completed, we are now in a position to get back to class enhancements and new dungeons.

8/24/05: PayPal is now offered as a method of purchasing Game Plans and other services. Although anyone can use PayPal, it is particularly important to those not having or not wanting to use credit cards, and not wanting to wait for their payment to make it through the mail (especially those living outside the US). The specifics on making payments through PayPal are included in the OGN Information bulletin under the Accounts Menu.

8/18/05: The NPQ (New Player Quest) update has now been completed, allowing much higher level characters to participate, and better prizes possible including enchanted items. What I expect, is that we are going to have to go through some iterations on this, with the goal being that these are being run as needed with the new players getting good items for achieving these quests.

8/17/05: The new web site setup is now done and with it this blog which did not exist on the old site. Overall, the web site looks much better now and should be a positive. Also, the new Links Menu on OGN gives much better access here and to player web sites as well. Will keep this blog updated with major enhancements as they happen.
